“This is a wonderful living history day perfect for children and families,” says Mark Granlund, executive director of the Washington County Historical Society & Museum. “Kids love this event because there are lots of animals and hands-on activities,” he says.
Granlund says the 40 th anniversary is a very special milestone for an event that celebrates our area’s agrarian history. “Even now, farming is extremely important to Washington County and our state. The Draft Horse Plowing Exhibition celebrates that rich heritage,” he says.

Car; museum admission is free. Museum visitors can tour a major exhibit focusing on the area’s logging heritage, “Whipsaws to Chainsaws: History of Logging and Timber in Washington County.”
